New Design for FB Remote I/O Zone 1
From black to green: new technical innovations and fully compatible
FB Remote I/O modules will feature a new design in September, 2010. The following benefits are available to you:
- Increased safety - the modules have covered front connectors instead of cable tails. Wiring can be routed directly to the remote I/O modules without the need for marshalling. New Ex e modules are backward compatible.
- New redundancy backplanes eliminate the need for an additional redundancy enclosure. This allows you to save money, and significantly reduces space requirements in your cabinet.
- The module housing is now green instead of black. This improves the optical contrast against the black backplane when modules are inserted.
- Extended intrinsic safety parameters enable connections with a wider range of external devices while maintaining compatibility with existing installations.
